VI02-Roman cursive

Oltre alle lettere formali dipinte o incise che vediamo e usiamo ancora oggi, nel mondo antico c’erano anche alcune forme di scrittura a mano che erano i prototipi delle nostre minuscole. 

In questo workshop studieremo con la matita la dinamica costruttiva di queste lettere. Poi “esploreremo” quelle lettere con la penna per creare una base per sviluppare le nostre più moderne e più espressive calligrafie. Il corso è in inglese e non è prevista traduzione.

Writing in the ancient roman world included not just the formal painted and carved capital lettering that we still use today but several forms of handwriting that are the prototypes of our lowercase letters. 

In this class we will look at their constructive dynamics using the pencil and then explore them with the pen as a basis for creating our own more contemporary and expressive calligraphy.
