OL12-Conquering Copperplate capitals

Workshop of intermediate/advanced level in English language with no translation.
Copperplate capitals often appear complicated, so in this workshop I will show you ways to master them. It is very important to make sure all the strokes are balanced, so we will look at letter proportions, the weight of strokes, the relationship between the main body of the letter and the outer strokes, and how to bring life to them by employing the swelling line and adding a secondary stroke. We will look at the traditional, more flourished capitals, and in contrast, simplify them to their essential parts by practicing the capitals I designed for my copperplate variations style. We will also consider the relationship between a capital and the lowercase letter which follows.
Lesson will take place on Zoom from 6:00 to 8:00 PM (Rome time).
